The candy bar terminals are configured separately from their PC based counter-parts. Due to the fact that these terminals can still be operated when not connected to the Server requires special attention. Whilst this has a number of advantages there are some significant disadvantages that users need to be aware of:

Non-available items may still be sold
Products may not have the correct prices
Sales reports may not reflect true sales if all the haven't been downloaded
Multiple user shifts may be created if the ShowPOS Monitor is disconnected
reduced security when compared to PC based terminals
have limited storage capacity in the number of sales and products that can be stored
