Cash Drawer not opening when sales are made:
check that the cash drawer cable is plugged into the printer
check for items being jammed against opening mechanism inside the back of the removable drawer.
check that you have the correct type of cash drawer attached to the printer (there are two voltage types)
check in Showcase that the cash drawer has been set to Connected directly to Printer.
Note:
The cash drawer will NOT work when connected via a standard windows printer driver and set to "Connected directly to Printer". It will ONLY work when:
the printer port is LPT1 - LPT4, or
one of the other cash drawer types are selected, or
if the windows driver has an option to open the cash drawer.
