If you have not previously been configured to have stocktakes or just want to start your stock take from blank starting point it will necessary for you to perform the following steps to reset your stock to a new beginning.
The steps that will need to be followed will depend upon whether you have previously been configured for stocktakes. These steps should only be done before/after all sales have finished for the day and should generally be done on the normal day/night when you intend to do your regular stocktake whether that be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
These steps will be creating a blank stocktake so that all subsequent stocktakes will be starting from a known position.
If your have never had a stocktake and have no recipes setup for your products:
| • | disable all the old products and allocate the new products in their place, this includes updating the candy terminals |
This next step involves creating your new stocktake and entering the initial stock on hand
| • | select Stock Control from the menus, |
| • | select [Create Stocktake], press [Yes] to confirm the stock take |
| • | select [Print Stock sheets] to initialise the stocktake settings |
if you have not done a physical count of your stock on hand then you do so now as these counts will be necessary in the next step
| • | select [Stocktake Counts] and for each of the stock items that are available do the following: |
| 2. | enter the actual stock on Hand |
| • | Select [Stocktake Adjustments] |
| • | Select the reason for the stocktake variation to be '[V] Opening stock' |
| • | Select [Adjust All Stock Items], this will automatically transfer in an opening stock to all the stocks currently on hand |
| • | Select [Finalise Stocktake], and press [Yes] to confirm that you are finalising the stock take. |
You have now created your first stocktake. From this period onwards all sales, invoices and adjustments will be allocated to the ACTIVE stocktake as part of normal stocktaking.
If you have previously had a stocktake or have recipes setup for some or all of your products
if you have NOT finalised your last stocktake then you MUST finalise stock take before continuing. However, you can just accept whatever balances are reported as being on hand as this stocktake will effectively be discarded when future stocktakes are completed. DO NOT ENTER ANY INVOICES OR DO ANY OTHER ADJUSTMENTS that may have been received prior to today as these will automatically be included in the stock on hand in the next stocktake. To do this will be creating a blank stocktake to zero the stock on hand for all stock items that are currently being used.
| • | select Stock Control from the menus, |
| • | select [Create Stocktake], press [Yes] to confirm the stocktake |
| • | select [Print Stock sheets] to initialise the stocktake settings |

| • | Select [Adjust All Stock Items], this will automatically zero the stock on hand for stock items |
| • | Select [Finalise Stocktake], and press [Yes] to confirm that you are finalising the stock take. |
