These repair utilities are provided to repair any problems that may occur when any of the files are corrupted.
These utilities should only be run when requested by Support and ONLY when there are NO OTHER USERS SIGNED ON TO SHOWCASE.
View Shift Status List of all user shifts and whether they are still logged on.
System Status Displays the number of connected users and allows the user to clear any Events from the Server if any previous Event was interrupted prematurely.
Emergency Start Allows a user to by-pass the daily backup if there is any problem performing the backup and you need to start selling immediately. This can only be done 2 days in sequence before the site will be forced to do a normal backup.
Upgrade All Tables (Upgrades Only) This utility must be RUN ONCE from ONE TERMINAL ONLY after doing each upgrade to verify and update any changes that may be required from the previous versions. This MAY take some time to perform. ie Hours
Upgrade Selected Table (Support Only) Attempts to repair/update the selected data with any changes that may have occurred. This MAY take some time to perform. ie Hours
Pack Selected Table (Support Only) Compresses the selected data file to the minimum file size required to store the data. This will only have an impact if a significant number of transactions have been removed from the active data files to the archive data files when performing the End of Day Maintenance functions. This will take some time to perform. ie Hours
Pack All Tables (Support Only) Compresses all data files to the minimum file size required to store the data. This will only have an impact if a significant number of transactions have been removed from the active data files to the archive data files when performing the End of Day Maintenance functions. Verify All Tables This utility checks the status of every data file to ensure that they contain the structure for this version of the software. It does not attempt to do any changes if any differences are detected.
Verify Selected Table This utility checks the status of the selected data file to ensure that they contain the structure for this version of the software. It does not attempt to do any changes if any differences are detected.
Restore Files from Backup (Support Only) Allows restoration of selected files from prior Backups if available. This will only be done as LAST RESORT.
Register for Support Allows a user to enter their current support registration # provided by Support.
Recover Damage Table This utility attempts to repair a damaged data file if they have become corrupted. This will generally occur if the server has been powered off without doing a proper windows shutdown.
Recover Damaged Autoinc This utility attempts to repair a damaged data file by resetting a tables internal counters if they have become corrupted. This will generally occur if the server has been powered off without doing a proper windows shutdown.
Backup All Tables Backup existing data files
Create a New Site (Support Only) Overwrites ALL EXISTING DATA FILES and Creates a new site with the standard default settings.
