This will export all interchange data since the last imported interchange from Head office. This must be manually initiated by a user. Some further processing may be required depending upon the method of transfer to head office.
The basic methods to transfer data to head office are: 1. Manual File transfer (no connection) The interchange file is created and manually sent to head office where it is manually imported into the head office module. This could be via disk, email, ftp, etc... This requires that the file is manually processed/imported at head office.
2. Automated File Transfer (persistent connection) The interchange file is created and automatically sent to head office. The folder where the file is transferred is monitored by the head office module which will automatically import the file at specific intervals. ie. 15, 30 minutes. The folder is monitored by either the Head Office Gateway Service or by the Head Office Client. Only ONE CLIENT should monitored the shared folder. This method requires that some form of WAN/LAN connection is available between the site and head office.
3. Automated Head Office Gateway (persistent connection) The interchange file is created and automatically imported into the head office module. No additional processing is required by head office. This method requires that a TCP/IP connection is available at the site and head office. This can be a WAN, LAN, or internet connection.
