Layouts provide the option of having more than one seating layout when allocating seats to each cinema. A diagram can also be used to provide easier selection of any seating sections that may be needed. However only one layout can act as the Default Layout when programming sessions. Each layout can have one or more sections which can then be designated on the cinema layout to allow easier selection of seating allocations at sale time. The cinema layout will only be shown if there is more than section.
Name A description of the seating layout.
Capacity The maximum seating capacity of this layout. If this is 0 then the standard cinema capacity will be used when determining the maximum seating capacity.
Default Layout Selects this layout to be the default used when allocating seating for sessions. Only one layout can be the default. If no layout has been set then the last created layout will be deemed to be the default layout.
Available Determines if this layout is listed (where required).
Notes Any comments about this layout.
Diagram Each cinema layout can have one diagram that shows the entire layout of the cinema. This diagram will automatically be resized to fill the entire screen. To insert a diagram <right-click> the background and select one of the following options:
Designating a Section Overlay An overlay is used to designate where each section is located on the seating layout so that the user can select the section at sale time directly from the cinema layout. Each section must have been previously created in Section Layouts.
Each overlay will display the section name, these overlays are then moved and resized so that each section is covered by the appropriate overlay.
