The Head Office Gateway is used for the following:
Export Type The method to be used when transferring files to head office.
The available options are: 1. None - No files are exported. 2. E-mail - Files are exported via e-mail. 3. Copy File - Files are copied are to specific folder at head office. 4. Copy File/E-mail - Files are sent via Copy File method, and then via e-mail if the first method fails. 5. Head Office Gateway - Files are exported directly via the Head Office Gateway.
Server Name (default: blank) The computer name of the server where the files will be transferred. Leave this blank to use the default server.
Gateway Server Name The name of the Gateway Server. This can be a computer name (SERVER), TCP/IP address (192.168.0.1), or a web address (www.domainname.com). This uses TCP/IP port # 9000 for connectivity.
Send to Folder The shared folder where any files will be imported from. This should be a UNC path. ie. \\server\gateway.
Packet Size The size of the data packet to be used when transferring data. Smaller sizes (1kb - 8kb) should be used for low bandwidth connections (ie. dial-up) and larger sizes (16kb - 128kb) for high bandwidth connections (ie. broadband).
Polling Interval The interval at which the information messages will be updated. This should be increased for low bandwidth connections and decreased for high bandwidth connections.
User Name The user name required to access the shared folder when copying files.
Password The password required to access the shared folder when copying files.
E-mail Recipient The e-mail address where to send the exported interchange file.
Status Polling Interval (local only) The interval at which this terminal should poll the gateway to ensure that it is still operational.
Prompt on New Item Prompt the users with a pre-defined list of items that can be created when inserting new items. These items have been pre-defined at head office.
Head Office Codes Required Require that all items have a unique Head Office Code (HO Code). This is used to consolidate data from multiple sites.
Export Member to Head Office (Default: Off) Export member details back to Head Office. This is off by default and should only be enabled if sites can create local members which are not available to all sites within each circuit.
