The Site Gateway is used for the following:

polled by signage for session information
polled by the Payment Gateway (per terminal or networked)
polled by the Remote Internet Gateway when using real-time ticket sales.
polled by the Remote Head Office Gateway

Export Type

The method to be used when transferring files to this site.

 

The available options are:

1. None - No files are imported.

2. Copy File - Files to be imported copied are to specific folder.

3. Site Gateway - Files are imported directly via the Site Gateway.

 

Server Name (default: blank)

The computer name of the server where the files will be transferred. Leave this blank to use the default server.

 

Gateway Server Name

The name of the Gateway Server. This can be a computer name (SERVER), TCP/IP address (192.168.0.1), or a web address (www.domainname.com). This uses TCP/IP port # 9000 for connectivity.

 

Send to Folder

The shared folder where any files will be imported from. This should be a UNC path. ie. \\server\gateway.

 

Packet Size

The size of the data packet to be used when transferring data. Smaller sizes (1kb - 8kb) should be used for low bandwidth connections (ie. dial-up) and larger sizes (16kb - 128kb) for high bandwidth connections (ie. broadband).

 

Polling Interval

The interval at which the information messages will be updated. This should be increased for low bandwidth connections and decreased for high bandwidth connections.

 

Status Polling Interval (local only)

The interval at which this terminal should poll the gateway to ensure that it is still operational.
