The XML Export Gateway is used for the following:

transferring data from site to an external FTP server

Export Type

The method to be used when transferring files to FTP server

 

The available options are:

1. None - No files are exported.

2. E-mail - Files are exported via e-mail.

3. Copy File - Files are copied are to specific folder on FTP server.

4. FTP Gateway - Files are exported directly via the FTP server Gateway.

 

Server Name

The computer name of the FTP server where the files will be transferred. This must be a valid internet address and folder. ie. ftp.domainname.com

 

Send to Folder

The folder where any files will be sent. This should be a valid path in UNIX format. A blank folder implies the default folder upon connecton.

 

E-mail Recipient

The e-mail address where to send the exported files.

 

Username

The username required to access the shared folder when copying files or using FTP.

 

Password

The password required to access the shared folder when copying files or using FTP.

 

Port # (default: 21)

The port # to be used when sending files via FTP.

 

Time Out (ms) (default: 1024)

The time out period to be used when sending files.

The web page to be called to execute a server side script to import any files that were previously sent. This should include the http:// prefix.

 

Time Format

Time format used when encoding time values for all sessions, etc...

 

Date Format

Date format used when encoding date values for all sessions, etc...

 

Passive Mode

The mode of FTP transfer to use by default. The software will automatically attempt the non-default mode if the transfer fails when attempting to connect.

 

XML File Type

The type of XML file that will be sent to the FTP server. There are two formats:

1. FTP Internet - this includes only basic information about the films, dates and starting times.

2. Live Internet - this includes all detailed information to allow on-line ticket selling to occur. This includes pricing, seating availablity, unique sessions identifiers, etc ...
