Due to the way some internal and external network cards are configured on some computers the server may not always be automatically found. This requires that the actual server computer name or TCP/IP address be entered in the About box.
Other possible problems include any firewall software that may have been installed.
If your computer is running in a single user configuration (or your network is off-line. ie no cable plugged in) then you will need to set the Server Name to the Local Host IP address 127.0.0.1, this will enable the software to by-pass the windows network settings when searching for the Showcase Server.
