Terminal Description A text description for the terminal when signed off.
System Timeout Interval (Default: 100000ms) Timeout interval used when the network has a higher latency. This may need to be increased if using wireless networking to avoid unnecessary time-outs.
Startup Buttons The standard buttons at startup are:
Show these additional buttons at startup.
Alternate Date Selection Use the alternate Date Selection screen. This is required on some computers with incompatible video cards.
Blind Shift Float Hides the Shift Balance Total from the user when signing off.
Cash Drops Allow cash drops on this terminal.
End of Shift Totals Required Require the End of Shift Totals to be entered when signing off
Miscellaenous Items Allow miscellaneous items on this terminal.
Shift Float Required Require a shift float to be entered when signing on. This can be ignored by those with supervisory rights.
Show Change Required Show the change required message after each sale/refund.
Tender Type Optional Allow the payment method to be optional. This can be overridden by the Site Option for Tender Type Required.
Touch Screen Required Show the virtual keyboard where required to allow easier use when using touch screen terminals.
Synchronize Server Time This forces the terminal to retrieve and set the current date/time from the server. This is recommended on terminals running Windows 95/98/ME to ensure that the correct time is maintained. This option may have no effect on terminals running Windows NT 40/2000/XP/2003 depending upon the user's windows access rights. This option should be turned off on the computer acting as the server.
