Non-Ticket Printer Error

This error will occur when one of the data files have been corrupted in some form.

The most common form of corruption involves the data file's index being corrupted.

 

The four data files which are most commonly corrupted are:

Prcarrow POSITEM

Prcarrow POSTRAN

Prcarrow TICKETS

Prcarrow TRANSACTIONS

 

The files can be fixed by following these steps:

Prcarrow sign off ALL PC based terminals

Prcarrow on one terminal

Prcarrow perform partial repair steps

Prcarrow perform verification steps

Prcarrow if partial repair DOES NOT WORK, then attempt the full repair steps.

Prcarrow if the above DOES NOT WORK, the call Showcase Support

 

Partial Repair Steps

Prcarrow select SUPPORT

Prcarrow for each of the data files above

       - select the data file from them selected table list

       - select REPAIR SELECTED TABLE

       - press GO

       - a message will be displayed in the bottom left corner showing the status of the repair.

Prcarrow press EXIT

 

Verification Steps

Prcarrow sign on to showcase

Prcarrow sell one ticket making sure that the number of tickets sold increases

Prcarrow refund the same ticket making sure that the number of tickets sold decreases

Prcarrow if the above steps FIXES THE PROBLEM then selling can recommence

Prcarrow if the above DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM then more drastic steps need to be taken.

 

Full Repair Steps

This next step can take considerable time to do and should only be considered as a last resort

Prcarrow select SUPPORT

Prcarrow select REPAIR ALL TABLES

Prcarrow press GO

Prcarrow a message will be displayed in the bottom left corner showing the status of the repair.

Prcarrow press EXIT
