Selecting the Tickets

Ticket Payments is where you select the number of tickets to be issued for a particular session. The selected session details are displayed at the top right, the payment methods towards bottom right, the number of tickets to issue for each ticket type on the left, and the default ticket pricing category is displayed in the top left corner.

Viewing Film Synopsis

To view the synopsis, click on the Film name at the top of the screen.

 

Choosing the amount of tickets

The ticket types displayed on the left depend on the Ticket Price Category allocated each session, which is displayed at the top left of the screen. The white boxes contain the quantity of tickets to issue for each ticket type.

 

To change the quantity, click on the buttons to the left and right of the quantity. Clicking the right button will add one to the quantity, clicking the left button will decrease the quantity by one.

 

To change the quantity using the keyboard, use the function keys <F1> .. <F10> etc. to increase the quantity for Ticket Type 1, Ticket Type 2, Ticket Type 3, etc. respectively. To decrease the quantity, hold the <shift> key at the same time as pressing <F1> .. <F10> etc.

 

To quickly enter a number of tickets, click on the quantity and enter in the quantity desired on the keypad in the bottom right corner and press <Enter>.

 

Paying for the tickets

Tickets will only be allocated when [Cash] or [Tender Type] has been selected, until that time you cancel the tickets, or change any or all of the selected ticket types.

 

Paying by Cash

To issue a ticket, click on the [Cash] payment type. Using the keyboard, press <Enter> if the [Cash] button is highlighted. By default, the [Cash] button will be highlighted - if it is not, then use the cursor keys to change the highlighted button. If no tickets have been selected then pressing [Cash] will automatically issue one ticket for the first ticket type listed (eg. Adult, Child, etc), this is referred to as the Default Ticket Type.

 

Paying by other payment methods

To issue a ticket with a different payment type other than cash, press [Tender].

[Vouchers & Specials]

Allows special tickets (i.e. Vouchers, Special Tickets) to be selected in addition to the standard prices for the current session. This may include any vouchers that have been pre-sold and now need to be redeemed. See also: Redeeming Vouchers

 

[Reserve/Reserve & Seating]

Allows a user to Reserve tickets for a session that will be collected by the patron before the session is screened. All uncollected tickets are returned for resale if they are not collected within the specified time before the session starts. This interval is dependant upon the Reserve Time Interval (0 indicates no automatic cancelling of uncollected tickets). After selecting the ticket types and seating (if required) the user will be prompted to enter the patron's details. These details are used to lookup the reservation at the time the tickets are collected.

 

[Seating]

Allows seats to be allocated to individual patrons (if required). See also: Reserved Seating

 

[Other Items]

Allows a user to sell concession items with tickets. These items can include Fees, Coupons, Vouchers, Products and Forms.

 

Group Tickets

Group tickets allow a party of people entry to be printed on one ticket for each ticket type. To issue a group ticket, press [Group Off] - it will then show [Group On]. Eg. 100 Adults will print on 1 ticket, 50 concessions will print on 1 ticket, ideal for large groups. See also: Group Ticket Limit before Confirmation

 

Note:

Group Tickets will only be available when more than one ticket of a particular type is enabled and no seating allocation is required.

 

[Clear]ing selected tickets

This will clear all the selected ticket types for the current sale. This will also release any seats that may have been allocated.

 

[Cancel]ing the Sale

This will cancel the current sale and return back to the previous screen. This will also release any seats that may have been allocated.

 

[Hold]ing the session

This allows a user to repeat ticket sales for the current session after completing each sale instead of returning to the Box Office screen.

Note:

If the <scroll lock> key on the keyboard is on then this will take precedence over the [Hold] button. If the <scroll lock> key is on then the [hold] button will always be on when entering the Ticket Payments screen.
