Special Keys

This option allows configuration of the special keys that are required to use the Candy Bar terminals. These keys should not be adjusted without consulting customer support as they have special functions which can cause potential problems when configuring the Candy Bar terminals.

To create a new entry for a key, press [New] and enter details in the appropriate fields. To change the details of an existing entry, select the item from the list and press [Edit]. Change the details and press [Save], or [Undo] to cancel any changes.

To remove a key, select the item from the list and press [Delete].

Media/Plu

A unique number when combined with the key type to identify each key. Most of these values have special meaning, so consult customer support BEFORE changing any value.

PC Only

This key will only apply to this type of terminal (All Terminals, PC Only, ShowPOS Only).

Key Type

The type of key that will be assigned. These have special meaning, so consult customer support BEFORE changing any value.

Text

The text that will appear on the key. Must be 32 characters or less.

Value

This should be 0.00 for all items except when using fixed % Discount key type in which case it will be the percentage discount that will be applied. (not in use).

Available

The special key is available for selection.

Default Key Values

P = PC Only - Only used on PC based terminals

C = ShowPOS Only - Only used on candy terminals

A = PC and ShowPOS

X = No longer available for use.
